Sympecma paedisca

36-39 mm. Light brown to orange-brown body, with dark bronze-colored markings on the rear of the abdomen and thorax (for young animals with a green sheen). All four of the wings are held together on one side of the body at rest. The dark stripes on the upperside bulge on the bottom. The Siberian Winter Damselfly is much rarer than the Common Winter Damselfly and only occurs in the northern half of the Netherlands.
